Roach Nerf

Roaches have been nerfed about 5 times so far from regen to armor and now even their pop. Over nerf? Discuss.

Again, poorly worded responses. The only "I support the nerf" option is "I support it completely". There's no "I'm okay with this nerf" or "I partially support it". However, there are two options for those who oppose the nerf.

What about people who like some aspects of the nerf but hate others? For instance, I'm glad the control cost was increased, but I want the above-ground regeneration back. There's no option for me in the poll.

I'm currently adopting a 'wait-and-see' attitude, but my initial impression is that this is a mistake.

Long story short, no matter how good your economy or production capabilities are, if Roaches cost 2 supply, and if you and your non-Zerg opponent are close to 200/200, I don't think you are going to have the troop count to be able to inflict enough damage on an enemy army for your follow-up units to be able to do much.

Personally, I think that this change was made largely to encourage Ultralisk use later in the game, with Supply at a greater premium.

I never play zerg. Dont care about zergs. They get even more boring patch after patch. The roach is no longer the unit that was supossed to be.

I agree with the pop. nerf, but i think that in return roaches should get back its 2 armor and regeneration.

And burrowed movement speed. And it shouldn't need to be researched (comes free with Burrow).

Well than fast tier 2 to burrow would be a little op at the lack of detection

I would say that in light of that nerf
1. Burrowed movement speed should be greater
2. Organic carapace should allow above ground regeneration.

Of course I would prefer if Roaches were kept at 1 supply and got the T3 above ground regen back, and were nerfed in the hp and damage area instead to keep with swarming, regenerating zerg.

If they want to buff Ultras give them the ability to also regen while burrowed like the T1 version of the roach.

Can you filter this thread to only good Z or random players? Of course Terran and Protoss players will welcome this nerf.

I don't agree with this nerf. Roaches are already expensive as hell. They were really vital for ZvT and now that match is going to be a lot harder for Z. I believe I can also use the same argument for ZvP but roach is a lot more needed for Terran's Hellions which Terrans just love to get nowadays.
