    But where should the upgrade be availible from? At what Tier? From which building, or which building would free the upgrade at the tech-lab?

    I had a thought about reapers:


    What if they could get an ability to jump over units as well. similar to blink, except it wouldn't be instantaneous and it would be targetable during the jump.

    If it also had some sort of melee attack that was better than it's ranged, it could use it to jump over the front lines to get at their squishy back lines.

    Doing this would give it some interesting use in open combat, while doing it could also reduce the regular attack's damage, making it less useful for early harass.

    Giving them the flamethrower upgrade back would make them a lot more useful against Zergling masses, instead of always having to get Hellions as Terran when a Zerg masses lings. This could keep an infantry Terran on the same tech level.

    Reapers can be completely re-done.

    1. Animation. Right now reapers always have their jetpacks on, cliff jumping or not.
    It should have a walk animation with packs off, and another with jetpacks on when cliff jumping.

    2. Reaper cliff jumping can now be turned into a castable ability similar to cloak. When off the reaper is regenerating energy, when on the reaper is expending energy.

    3. When Reaper jet packs are on, they can cliff jump and have increased speed (1/2 zealot charge speed?). When off, they are normal units with normal speed.

    4. Midgame reapers can upgrade their energy.

    5. Lategame, reapers can research personel cloaking. Usable only when Jetpacks are off and also expend energy.

    Idea isn't that bad, but too complicated and way too imbalanced, and SC2 shouldn't be complicated game.
