My question is, why on earth did Dustin nerf the *number* of roaches. This is ZERG. They're supposed to have numerical superiority.
They should've just nerfed zerg health or something.

I like the Roach nerf, it avoids massing a bit. Though I'd also like to see a change in it so it's not quite as swarming as it is currently (and probably after the patch aswell). Something like an HP-increase and damage reduction, maybe in form of attack speed increase, keeping the DPS stable, but worse vs units with armor upgrades or inate armor. It doesn't have to be so totally hard countered by Immortals.

Bingo. The solution should be to make Roaches weaker but cheaper.
Um...Zerg are supposed to mass and swarm.
My question is: is Blizzard trying to convince Zerg players to switch races? Not only are Zerg less interesting, but Blizzard consistently nerfs the more interesting parts of the race. The one really useful new unit the Zerg have keeps getting nerfed, without significant buffs to other ones or new units being introduced.
The Zerg may still be fine balance wise after these weekly patches cease, but I highly doubt they'll be nearly as interesting as the other races.
