Workers being exposed while building is one of the weaknesses of Terran. Erasing this weakness randomly due a graphical glitch is a sometimes crucial flaw in the current user interface.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is complete nonsense that Zerg or Toss can send their scouting worker to harass your worker forcing you to take SCV's off the line (Econ. damage) and forcing you to micro your SCV away while all they do is a-move and go sit in their base. It just does not make any sense to have harass that does not cost the opponent ANYTHING.

Even as a Terran player, surely you must appreciate how The Great Circle of Life works, right? Drones turn into buildings, Probes lay down warp beacons, and SCVs get murdered while trying to build stuff!![]()
I think we can all agree that that aspect of the SCV is far more iconic than a silly extra 15 hp!
Hear hear! The frustrating thing is that it's possible to issue a manual attack order on an SCV building a building - it's just really hard to do!![]()
I say that if Blizzard meant for SCVs to be un-targetable while building stuff, then they should just disappear inside the structure during its creation, like a WarCraft 3 Peon.
Otherwise....death to the SCVs, I say! They knew the risks when they took the job!

If they make SCVs targetable, they also need to make it so they can disengage at the push of a button.

No this should not be changed. I'm a zerg player and what's fair is fair, I have no worker to attack, the protoss just zap theirs in. Being inaccessible for a portion of the building process is in no way unfair.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
