Can I get on the beta without a CD key?

I knew people in the know were going to blast me. That's why I started with "go easy on me". I know there is a mac client and I have already created a battlenet account. I just wanted to make sure I would be able to get access to the client from blizzard, not an external source, after getting the beta key though the pre-order method.

Yes you will, and don't worry about the blasts.

Regarding what will happen:
1. You will pre-order it and get a beta key in a fashion that they will ensure you understand, be it on the receipt, in your email in x days, or whatnot.
2. You will log into your battle.net account
3. You will click "add or upgrade a game"
4. You will copy/paste or type in the key
5. The SC2beta icon will show up and you click it to download it from battle.net
6. After it downloads, it will install. After it installs, it will take a small additional set of time to download and install the patches that have come around since it's start
7. Profit and prosper.

To the people who flamed, whether they realized they were or not: Guys, ease up on him and try a search yourself... almost all of the entries involved non-legit keys when you do the average search for installing sc2beta. None of the links, including the Blizzard link, doesn't give information regarding getting the beta key from pre-ordering, which was part of his question.
