Default cool stuff your not looking at.

so i went out and pre-ordered my sc2 at gamestop on tuesday after they said gamestop ran out of beta keys on monday.... and i got a beta key anyways.

1st thing i do is drive into the editor, and what do i see? stuff you guys haven't bothered to tell others about. little details that was nice of blizzard to add even though you probably won't see them while your playing.

    1. if you look inside the roach building you'll see a giant roach head looking back at you. i looked at the other zerg buildings and this is the only building with a head inside.

    2. if you zoom in on the nydus worm you'll see he has drool webbing on his upper teeth.

    3. the terran turret man is back and he he gets a little red blinking targeting display for him to aim it at the enemy.

    4. bald protoss. the zealot is the only protoss unit with hair except for the 1 version dt who shows hes gotten a hair cut. but i gotta point out as well that the 2nd version dt lives up to it's concept art with the zerg bones. the hydralisk jaw on his chin is there with the skull on the shoulder.

    5. zerg faces. the roach is nothing special up close, but someone went out of their way to make sure all the other zerg units eyes and teeth matched their 3d portraits.

    6. the mule. when the scv stands next to it, it feels bad.

Blizzard art team is definitely top notch. Much is desired by their sound team though.

I'm pretty sure all of the non-robotic protoss units have hair; it's just not always (easily) visible, because it comes out of the lower-back part of their heads. For instance, here is the Zealot:

If I remember correctly, it's a point of lore that all Protoss have those locks (which are actually a kind of nerve appendage), since they are related to their psychic abilities. (When the Dark Templar broke off, they cut their hair in order to sever the connection, which is why the DT has its hair cut into a short tuft.)

They're not actually hair - but rather psi tendrils.

Yep. The Dark Templar cut them off to separate from the Khala, IRC.

Psi Tendrils, I thought they were Nerve Cords.

So, besides of confirming for 10th time there is a missile turret spinning man, (there's people that couldn't believe it) you found quite cool stuff.
