How can I possibly save it when your statement is completely insane? Mass Effect 3's ending is not only an insult to the fans, but nothing short of an affront to storytelling itself as an art form.

I didn't say Mass Effect was perfect, you rabid anti-fanboy dolt. I said Mass Effect was the closest I could think of. Given enough time, all series turn to shit and science fiction isn't a genre that's really handled well in games or movies to begin with. If we move outside sci fi then fine, otherwise, Mass Effect is about all I can think of. The rest of the sci fi universes I can think of might have great game play but shitty stories, or, otherwise, were ruined by a sequel just like StarCraft.

Good god not the indoctrination theory again. It's been admitted by Bioware that Indoctrination was going to play a role at one point, but was ultimately abandoned as the storyline developed. Laziness and conflicts of creativity retained some feature of that plot line while simultaneously eliminating it as an explanation.

Also, I say Spychi should roam far and wide. It's always funny when people get up in arms over comments he and DSquid make; people feed a troll and expect it to not act like one? Hah!

The Ex was a bullshit handwave and either retconned or ignored several important aspects of the original ending, like the mass relays exploding in the original but not in the Ex.
