    Default Want To Test: Remove Roach, Marauder, and Immortal.

    Anyone else want to see this? Test how SC2 would function without these 3 units for like, 2 weeks? I predict there would be almost no change to the game balance

    I'd rather see a nerf of the Maurader and a reworking of the Roach defintely. I don't know if Immortals are imbalanced but sometimes I lean more towards that way so I wouldn't mind a nerf for them either.

    Couldn't you in theory make a custom made map that didn't let anyone build any of those units?

    That's kind of what this thread is for. I'm gauging interest in it to see whether making a custom map would be worthwhile.

    I think you're crazy. No offense
    This would harm terrans to much , while only mildly afecting other races.

    How exactly would it harm Terran?
    By making the Siege Tank more worthwhile?
    By making Marines more common?

    The point is to test just how much these 3 units effect the game. If Terran die in droves without the Marauder, even with the Roach and Immortal pounding them either, we'll be able to judge just how strong these units are and if they really do need some nerfs or buffs.

    Banelings would demolish everything before you could even get to tank...

    I can't see your point here, if you pump the equivalent number of marine behind the wall, no way the baneling will crush everything. You will be just fin to siege up some tanks.

    from a purely logical standpoint, having fewer options can never be better.

    sure, if you removed marauders, you'd make other units more worthwhile - but not because of any inherent increase to their value, rather, because they're the next best thing after you've removed the original best choice.
