I often heard/read people saying they lost/won to some higher ranked people, but is there a way to know someone else's ranking (for people outside your division) without asking them directly?

Yeah... You can check rank after battle. I wish the "favored" indicator was more accurate though. "Slightly favored" ranges from someone in bronze like me to a top-tier gold. Does it EVER say "strongly favored?" Or is it just saving that for plat people so I know when I'm effed =P

I've had strongly favored against a low gold and slightly favored against plat... I guess it's a bug

The system is suppose to test your skill from time to time by placing you against a player in a higher league. But right now the system glitches from time to time and places you against people that are way better. You can also check people's ranking by adding them to your friend's list and just removing them after you find what you were looking for.
