I want female ghost plz. I also want unique voice clips for selecting both kinds of dark templar and ghosts. The Dark Templar would argue, the ghosts would flirt.

I was disappointed when I found out that ghosts won't have the option of being male or female. One reason I thought was that they were intending on having Nova appear in the game, and you wouldn't want to confuse her with other female ghosts. However, this doesn't explain how the in-game model of Zeratul and the Lenassa Dark Templar will be different, since they are of the same type. Obviously the in-game units for Zeratul and Lenassa DTs will be very similar, but if that's fine, then why would having Nova and female ghosts be off-limits?

don't be hatin'. Selendis kicks ass. It's because of her we have Immortals, and Colossi, and Phoenix, and still have the Carriers... wait, the Carriers? Damn you Selendis!

Also, Artanis is a hot-blodded male [protoss], he needs a little sumthin-sumthin during those cold nights on Shakuras....

So to the six people who voted no

    1) Is the only concern that you wont be able to tell female and male?

    2) Are you concerned that you wont be able to tell the Zer'atai DT from the Lenassa DT?

    1) More-less, after all, they cover their hair now, and that was the only indicator Kerrigan had.

    2) One's carrying a scythe the other isn't, they won't be too hard to tell apart.

    Who does?

So weapon differentiation helps distinguish the two DT's. I agree. But you really think there is no way to make this

    look different from this

I'm probably going to make a controversial stance here; the reason I'm against having female Ghosts as standard is because you'd want to make the Ghost hero (presumably Nova, or some other female Ghost character, given past experience) to be visually distinctive from the normal. One way to make this is to turn her into the 'token chick'. Adding standard, female Ghosts takes away from her uniqueness.

Regarding Dark Templar, I have this very same concern with the Lenassa model (that it too closely resembles Zeratul). That's why I'm not in favor of it and likely why Blizzard originally didn't use it.

I can actually see this as a legitimate reason for not including a female ghost. However, like you pointed out, the DT is in the same situation. If having Lenassa models does not detract from the Zeratul model then a female ghost wont detract from Nova.

That's my point; it does detract from the Zeratul model; hence why Blizzard didn't originally use as well were slow in including the Lenassa model as a standard Dark Templar. They even put it up for public voting to see if it was a true majority or just a noisy minory. Blizzard never does that! Not even when they revamped the entire art direction. But this is a discussion for another thread.
