I just tried playing another couple games and the speed of units is just insane..... there is no more micro involved . I love sc2 but the whole speed upgrade has spoiled it for me . Will wait until blizzard mentioned anything about this isssue .

Haven't played since the patch but this is a bit disappointing. I felt SC2 was fast enough. Battles are over much faster than in SC1. It's all due to the damage mechanics increasing dmg rather than reducing along with the speed.![]()

Can you provide links, because this is just not what I'm seeing. There seems to be some amount of confusion at TL as if anything has changed, if it's only in the EU, and how much faster it really is. I'm seeing 4% which if it's true might explain why some of us just aren't noticing.

@TWD: What league are you in? Some people have suggested that only Platinum and perhaps Gold leagues got the boost.

Huh, I was wondering why all my macro timings have been off after the patch, this explains a lot.

The speed boost is for all . I'm in bronze league ... was on my way to silver , but i cant get a win anymore because of that insane speed . The game is no fun anymore for mesadly. I still don't understand how people think increased speed = skill in a strategy game. Even if the game would be played for example on slowest speed a good player with the right decisions should be winning against a lesser skilled player and not winning because he can press the button for building units faster.
The game speed before was in my opinion just right .

I didn't really notice, but I was playing an FFA as Zerg yesterday and I kidnapped a probe for fun. I then built a few Warp Rays and said to myself "Wow, Void Rays move pretty fast now!"
Maybe it was the increase in game speed?
