Given no micro, a pack of 100 mutes will always lose to one phoenix in the hands of a skilled player. Zerg players will now have to scatter their mutes and attack from different angles to fend off phoenixes. A player may be able to dance a few phoenix around but certainly not all of them (unless you're boxer).
This change could introduce true arial dogfights which I'm looking forward to seeing. Anything that introduces micro is a change I'd approve of, really.

Since it's a radius increase of .2, making the total splash radius 1, and assuming that one box in the Galaxy Editor is 1 unit by 1 unit, it's a pretty significant improvement. Whether or not it's become good with this improvement won't be clear until someone actually uses Archons, but it should at least be slightly better against air units.

Wow...
Good on Blizz for having the balls to make huge changes, but poor, poor, poor showing with half of these uninspired tweaks.
1. WHY must the Corruptor have some lame, gimmicky activated ability? OK Dustin, I understand that corrupting air units passively didn't work, I understand why. That's not the only unit mechanic out there. Activated abilities aren't Zergy. And GIMMICKY, RANDOM activated abilities that have nothing to do with the unit's primary role aren't good for ANY race.
2. Why did you take out Colossus micro? If you want to nerf them, nerf the damage so it's harder to reach critical mass. Don't nerf the ability for players to use it in exceptional ways by paying attention to the battle.
3. Strike Cannons are now an UPGRADE? I rarely used it when I had it free. I guess Blizz is hopin' and prayin' we're gonna see more Ultralisks (and by more I mean shittons more) on the battle-field, because stopping them is practically the only use Strike Cannons have. But yeah... from the sound of things, next patch, Thors are smaller and easier to maneuver. BRING ON THE GOLIATHS!

Move-shooting phoenix could be cool, and with the corrupter change adn speedup, ZvP dogfights might turn in to something wicked cool; corrupters outrange the phoenix and deal better damage now so tehy aught to be a rather hard counter - they're faster too! Corr's cant catch phoenix, phoenix cant catch mutas that hide among corr's VR's (or ground support) will dominate a Z thats heavy on corrs ... etc it looks like it could be rather dynamic!
range bugg on helions should be interesting.
infestor change, i dont see the worth in, escept if NP was rally too acessible / strong before.
Thor cannons reserchable? seriously? thats NEVER gonna be worth the money to upgrade, especialy not if its at 150 energy!
edit: except vs Ultras... hmmh.. maybe that wasnt so bad afterall.
