Because then, they'd have more reason to be spawned that just a prereq to broodlords.

But then they would counter MMM balls hard. You fungal growth the units and snipe Medivacs.

Seems like they want to encourage late game units for terran and zerg rather then massing tier 1-2 units like MMM balls and Roach-Hydras.

Protoss already has massive use of tier 3 units in carriers and colossi so I suppose thats why archons got the buff.

I don't understand this reasoning. The Phoenix is nothing like the Corsair. It can attack while moving, yet doesn't do splash damage and has a graviton beam. The Corsair has to stop to attack, has splash, and disruption web which nullifies ground attacks. The only similarity in the two is that they're both ATA fighters.

Right click to move the unit. If something is there that it can attack, it will attack as it moves. Phoenix no longer need to hit the a key at all.

    Really, not like a Corsair.

Here's a play by play explanation of their reasoning on the changes.

I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

Yeah, guess that was a reach (especially after seeing the video) - was really just thinking effectiveness vs Muta. Corsair's attack was short enough to effectively chase units down more effectively.

Oh whoa wait so...if i tell my phoenix to go to say the middle of the map...without me doing anything they'll shoot anything that they pass?
    WOW SUKEEIIIIIII

they still want the Archon to be a recycle, seriously start a petition or a massive thread making them change this. Coming from SC 1 the Archon i feel is the most screwed up, I mean come on...
