    Default Maps Aldrius Made

    MAM!

    The first map is called Raszagal Fortress. A 4 player 1v1 map with a starting base mechanic similar to Twilight Fortress. Also has two gold mineral zones on high ground with nearby Xel'Naga Watch Towers that allow for spotting the main pathways between the adjacent bases.

    The second is called Souna Station IV. Features two naturals. One behind your ramp and one in front of it. Also has a small corridor that allows units to go from one main island to the other. But is very narrow and can be spotted with a nearby Xel'Naga watch tower.

    And yes, I recognize that both of these are pretty terran-favoured.

    Looks good. I like the looks of the second one, more of a tug-of-war style fight.

    Heh, I like your maps Aldrius, and I agree with what Mr. Peasant said as well.

    Also, do you foresee any potential problems with the second map's high yield expansions? I know you said you recognize they're Terran favoured, but it seems to be that there would be no consequence to expanding to the high yield first before any other expansion, as Terran.

    Hm, distance mostly. It's pretty far away.

    Though I've had rocks there before, blocking it. Maybe I should add those back in?

    Sorry for the double post, but I've finished ANOTHER map.

    This one's called Field of the Ancients. It's big and open and has lots of ways to attack your opponent.

    I'm gonna change this to the Aiur tileset when they release it.

    I wish I had your eye for this Aldrius. I like the new one, Field of the Ancients. Nice, perfectly balanced, gives a challenge yet is still open to short and long games.

    I think my main problem is I start drooling at 256x256 maps. I like huge maps for some reason.

    And another map has been completed. Area 2308. A Tarsonis Map.

    I think this one looks kinda barren, but that's... sort of what the tileset looks like. I really wanted to do a Tarsonis city map, but the tileset options for a Tarsonis city map are limited to three. So that wasn't really an exciting option.

    Instead I went for a more government research facility in the desert kinda vibe.

    The map itself is a cross between SC1 Destination, and SC2 Desert Oasis.

    Hey, you got ideas for a 2v2 that hard counters Decenea, the accursed map?
