heh well thats true, theres still plenty of time to fix stuff. plus even if its released, doesnt mean patches will start. although they will be focusing on making the next expansions i'de hope
as a side note to all those who participated in my contest for the beta key: sorry chaps, only could be one winner in the end, if i get another key i will be making another give awaybetter luck next time!

To everyone saying its a short beta, Blizzard stated long ago they were looking at around 4 months of beta time.

That is true. What's the point of trying to balance a game perfectly when WoL launches when 2 more expansions could change the multiplayer and counteract some of the balance/strategies, and who knows how much it will change? The Zerg can benefit a lot from the HotS expansion IMO.
So I'm curious now how long beta will be? If it keeps until the end of June I think that's pretty sufficient for beta time. 4 months + a very hefty alpha, this game is ready in my eyes.
BTW I found this out first via Gamespot, I feel dirty. But Hell... you know the rest.

You all worry too much. Whether the beta is 5 months or 9 months or "when its ready", the game will never be perfect. We are looking at years of minor changes and big changes with expansions.
If Blizzard waits for the game to be perfect, it will never get released. They need to pull the trigger eventually.
