    Default Need Help Kiting

I just got in the beta and played my fist match using a reaper harass vs a protos. While doing this i tried kiting his zealots which wasn't that hard but I've seen Crota kite zealots with reapers before and he seems to be able to get the reaper to turn and shoot the zealot without having to click attack on the zealot. How do you do that?

You can do an "Attack Move" that way you don't have to hit the unit perfectly with your click. Or you can just keep moving it and it will automatically attack when within range.

As mentioned above, you should probably get used to "attack moving"

It sounds like a look at this article could help ya out a wee bit on a few others things ^_^

Actually, I think the proper way to attack move is to back up, press hold. Then back up, press hold.

When you press hold, the units will immediately stop, and attack.

While if you use attack move your reapers will just immediately attack anything nearest them... BUT they will not back off until they are done killing all threats. Attack move is great for when your crossing the map for attacking stuff. But it isn't what you use to kite.

Actually it can be used to kite. You simply move your units away with the normal move command and then attack move towards whatever you are kiting to attack and then repeat. Though I haven't tested using stop/hold to make them attack. Not sure if its easier or not.

Recently had a match against Toss, while I still lost, my 2 Reapers did massive, massive damage.
Kited by attack move and as soon as the shot was fired, moved up the cliff again.

I think hold will not work that well since you have to move toward your target. Nobody will come to you on their own if they're kited by Reapers, you know
