The only thing I hate is when people rush-fails and then quiets, Its like ohh come on man, you can at least try to come back and get a backup strategy!
Why not just say "thanks for the game" if you don't think the game has been good!?

    Hi,

not having the beta I cant really vote. But I was watching a friend play on the desert map with the 2 island expansions NW and NE. He was terran getting beaten by a protoss player.

Lost his main and moved his 2 command centres to those expansions, put up loads of turrets and tried to build a air army. The opponent then said something like "YOUR DEATH IS COMING" he destroyed one expansion and then nothing for 5 mins or so.

My friend managed to build 1 battlecruiser and 1 viking then a mothership appeared, it was destroyed by the BC and viking and the opponent rage quit. He could have won but his anger at losing his mothership made him lose. We both laughed at that.

I don't rage quit. Simply because i don't rage. Even when my opponent is pwning me badly, i always try to turn the game around. This hasn't worked yet, though, since i just got into the beta yesterday.

But i hate other rage quitters. There is a difference between says " GG " and surrendering, and saying " FUCK YOU NOOB. ZEALOTS WITH CHARGE ARE SOOOO NOOOOBISH ", and then surrendering. While this has only happened once, I'm sure it'll happen again.

The thing i hate most though, is when your 2v2 partner suddenly exits the game, just cause his Stalkers got annihilated by Banshee's.

All in all, i don't think this happens when playing in the " upper " leagues, but in the silver league it does tend to happen.

Stand and deliver, that my hamster might have a better look at you.

    I never type gg.

I type, "Oh my, good sir. 'Twas a rather spot-on game was it not? Quite sporting, if I may say so myself. Cheerio!"
I would lose to you on purpose every time just to hear you say that. :P

I used to be a bit more up tight about winning but in StarCraft 2, to me, what I look forward to is a an intense and exciting game. Whether I win or not is irrelevent. If I lose, it doesn't bother me. As long as I'm getting some exciting games then I could lose all day. Therefore, I neither ragequit nor care about ragequitting.

I agree completely with that statement. I'm always looking for an interesting match, or an interesting strategy to try. For me, it's always about fun foremost and winning last, and it always has been. That's probably why I prefer to play with friends for 1v1 and the fact that I usually try to get a friend to 2v2 with me.

I don't say GG not because I'm raging and angry, but because on ladder I don't even know the guy. I'm playing to improve my skill and if he wins, I'm thinking about the game and not the player. When I'm with a friend playing, I say GG because I know him. When I'm on ladder and the game is going back and forth but I eventually lose I say WP.

I don't think not GGing=Ragequitting in casual games....

    RQ=quitting with an insult.

I guess by Purewasted definition, I ragequit every single game except when playing with people I know.

Also, this poll is kind of weird because only two of the choices are mutually exclusive o.o.

In SC2 I have never rage quit (by my own definition of it at least). I've had times where I didn't gg and just left, but the majority of the time I just want to get to the next game fast. Rare times I quit without gg to give the other person the satisfaction of thinking I Rage quit, which can make the game more satisfying to them. That or I leave without GG if the person shows to be very rude.

I don't know, I view the GG the same way as it's customary to shake hands after a sports game. If I find the opponent doesn't want to open his hand for the guesture, I just don't feel a reason to reach halfway for no reason.

I will say I got "mad" one game when a person went into my base with 1 void ray and said GG before it started the beam... Needless to say many people who saw that game on the stream still mention to me how much of an epic comeback it was. It was probably one of the very few times I pulled my skills/attention to it's limits.
