To know of something and to follow it is completely different.

Knowing that the World Cup exists doesn't mean you follow soccer or are a big fan.

That's precisely the point I was making. Not everybody follows the SC competitive scene, but it's become such a big part of Starcraft that even those who don't follow it are at least aware of it.

I would consider you an exception then. It's kinda like saying that people who play a lot of games know about games like Final Fantasy 7, Halo, and Mario. Sure, there might be gamers who don't know about them, but they're pretty rare.

But you're saying that's one of the first things that comes to mind when you mention 'Starcraft'. That's not the case for a large majority of players, who may know of the pro scene but have absolutely no invested interest in it.

That's like saying "Final Fantasy" would have people think of MMO's, which is simply a niche that people know exists.

Seriously speaking, this doesn't seem too hard as Protoss macro at that stage consists of Watch units-build stuff every 25 seconds with the proxy pylon. Not exactly exciting in my humble opinion.

If its not difficult then why dont you blink stalker rush zerg/toss and win every game?

Many reasons. Ling speed doesn't always come that late and IdrA can be called predictable. You tend to see earlier pools, which commit people to defense instead of quick teching. More Zerglings would have made it difficult to continue this harassment, and I tend to see more in my games when I play Protoss. So this strategy works if someone goes Econ-heavy into roaches, which is the exact thing this rush counters.

Would you explain what you believe is that difficult? Maybe there's something incredibly demanding I'm missing.

So, would you care to demonstrate yourself microing 10 stalkers in the heat of an early game push against an army of stalker/lings while macroing? Stalkers dont have the most HP, and can die fairly quickly to roaches, yet he kept them in JUST long enough (most were in the red when they blinked). I mean, if its nothing special then why do so many people make it out to be something special? Even high end players see that it was something special.

As far as tier 1 is concerned, they do. :P Though their armor only applies to half of their HP. Unlike the roach/marauder.

Although I was significantly impressed with that micro as well.
