They can still shoot at it. And it's not going to help your Queen that much. She's SOOO slow off of the creep. Unless you've completely entrenched the entire area, it's not going to do much. As it would for say, the Hydralisk or Roach.

As soon as you push in, she'll get left behind.

The compensation is learning to use creep better (ie. properly).
I use creep all the time. Short of having amazing macro it's not possible to draw a huge creep highway to your opponent's base.

Didn't we just go over this?

Step 1: Bring Queen to front line with Overlord of Nydus
    Step 2: Plant creep tumor
Step 3: Push. The units most worth using Transfusion are are slower anyway. Continue pushing your creep highway using your original tumor or 2

Was that Queen rush really so powerful? I haven't seen it used in a single game except for one Korean game which was put on YouTube.

In any case, was it a rush that was too powerful for Protoss to deal with? Or did Protoss players need more time to learn how to counter?

I think that if Blizzard makes off-the-wall strats like this non-viable, then it'd make the game that much less interesting to watch :[. It'd be cute if strats like this were rare, but that the possibility of seeing it exists, as opposed to nerfing it to the point where it doesn't work even if you catch your opponent by surprise .

    Creep doesn't spread THAT fast.

And the units worth using transfusion may be slower, but they also attack at near-melee range. And they're fast enough that she can't keep up with them.

Actually, perhaps have an upgrade in the Hive that causes your Tumors to Spread Creep Faster (and possibly has them grow faster)

Ok, everyone seems to be saying "Oh obviously you're not using creep tumors properly, use them better." Well yes, of course we try to use them better, it is not really in our best interest to use them poorly no? The main problem here is that relying on creep tumors as a mode of transporting your poor Queen (or slower units, whatever) is not ideal. Think, one overseer, one observer, Terran gets kind of screwed for this but comsat/raven means an entire bridge down since it only takes one tumor kill to stop the bridge in its tracks.

Also what Aldrius said. Doesn't spread that quickly even with use of creep drop from overlord. Gotta grow it and then the CD.

I'm for this if the upgrade is for the queen's speed on creep, not the queens speed in general.

Play Protoss? Look for the map Photon Cannon Tactics in the NA server!

    Why?

Well, Overlord creep spreading is OKAY. It works for Hydralisks, it works well for Roaches. (Not so much for Zerglings/Banelings) The problem is, even a small patch of non-creep is going to MASSIVELY slow down your Queen. She's practically immobile off of it.

    1. Gives more incentive for the queen to spawn a tumor/overlord drop creep... Gives more incentive to a zerg player that spreads creep in general.
    2. Allows the queen more chances to escape form being sniped in-base, while still less available for rushes.
    3. I feel the queen is too slow, even with the creep boost.

Um yes it is. Thats one of the basis of the creep mechanics. To encourage you to spread creep.
