It is 'removed from play' ie, it is not selectable at all, either totally frozen (as with the Arbiter's Stasis Field), or zapped into another dimension for the duration.

BTW, the high templar ability to give energy to nearby friendly units was called plasma surge. Also, if it wasnt called plasma surge, why would karune say "Plasma surge is no longer in multiplayer, but is in the campaign editor".

Anyone feel that the protoss might have too much crowd control now? I mean how many different abilties do you need for incapacitating a unit. Force field, phase shift, temportal rift, black hole, Anti-gravity.

So what is to become of the Dark Obelisk now? Personally I never liked the look or sound of that building. And what of the Protoss macro mechanic?

I feel like I read this somewhere too, but I cannot find any source that backs it up. So for now I think we have to assume that the unit cannot be moved, unless you can cite something I'm missing.

According to this article "Particle Cannon" is a special attack.

"Specialattacke" translates pretty directly to "special attack."

Or from the interview with Browder:

Translation: For that reason, we removed the ability [referring to self-repair] and fitted it out with a Particle Cannon talent which roasts ground units.
Again, he refers to a Particle Cannon "talent" which does not sound like a "basic attack" as you suggest. This is further backed up by the fact that Particle Cannon is a replacement for self-repair. That means it's in addition to the basic attack.

I though phase shift just turned the target into a ghostly form, unable to affect everything else?

    Ooh, big changes!

Colossus getting re-buffed to their original goodness (and more) is very exciting. Since M&M seems like an excellent early-game TvP tactic, quick teching to Colossi may be prudent, forcing the T to get Vikings to counter (since you can double pump them from Medivac building, as opposed to the other counter, Tanks, which require a Factory and a tech lab each).

Between Ghosts, Disruptors, and HTs, it sounds like PvT is going to be very exciting and full of options -- most of them in the early/mid game at that!

"Phase shift" was the name of the Dark Pylons targeted unit cloak. It makes sense to give this to a unit but then - why bother with Dark Templar if you can just cloak Zealots?

No, no it wasn't. The DP's cloak was known as "Null Shield."
