    The concept of proxy Pylon is to build the Pylon ahead of time at a key strategic position to allow you to reinforce said position if and when the need arises. The point is that Warp-In is fast, flexible (allowing you to bring in units anywhere there's matrix coverage) and can be deployed at a moment's notice, things flying in buildings to a specific site simply isn't.

    But Proxy Pylon is in a rearwards (relatively) position, not right in the battlezone, at least not if 'you're' attacking

    The issue is not limited to just 'in the battlezone' but getting units from their production buildings to where they're needed (which can be ever changing) as quickly as possible. With regards to proxy Pylons, they're not meant to be used in the heat of an attack. If you're the one launching the attack, you should probably have prepped yourself ahead of time. The only major use of Warp-In during an attack you yourself instigated is to increase the cargo capacity of Warp Prisms.

    It's not fast/flexible enough. Moving it from point A to B takes time; much longer than deploying a Nydus or calling forth Warp-In. As a result, it'd probably be easier and maybe even quicker to just order the units to walk the distance. Or to fly the SCVs to the location and build there.

    So what if we gave them a Starport level upgrade that made them 50-75% faster? also, could we give them transport slots like the CC, allowing them to divulge a few units immediately?
