Thread: SC2 - Display Driver Glitch?

Hmm, I knew it meant "overclocked" but I figured they just meant the specs were altered and made better so it would run basically as if it were overclocked.

As I said, I dusted it before playing (with compressed air), so I don't see why it'd overheat when it's all clear from dust, vs when it was dusty days before...

Played 2 games tonight, no issues.

I'm gonna have to try that! Where did you read it?

Heh there was talking about this on several forums You put off all the plastic components then put the graphic card into the oven near the melting temperature of Zinc.

Do a search about baking your video card, I think there is some youtube videos even.

It basically works on the same principle of the old red ring of death fix for the X360, you heat it up to the point of melting the solders then when it cools its fixed.

Yeah but u also have a chance to make your oven smell of Zinc for quite a while :P And it smells bad, be sure to check with your wife or parents before that

Yea, most of the guides I read tell you what temperature and for how long to hopefully prevent any smell (there was no smell when I did it).

Since modifying a text file where I capped my FPS, I haven't really had any lag spikes to the degree as before... It's been good so far, but who knows if that will change.

Hmmm, i just had this issue yesterday. I just got the mac beta and was playing on my Unibody MBP with the 9600. The game just randomly locked up, the graphics flickered and i saw those weird squares and the game crashed. My graphics were still messed up afterwards and i had to restart my computer. I assumed it was just Apple's crappy drivers, though i have heard of people having issues with the 9600. Any ideas?

I'm on the previous generation card (8600m gt) and i got the same problem. had to restart to fix. I lowered the settings since then and it seems ok so far...

Some people on the bnet forums had a similar problem, but blizz didn't respond.
