How does hallucination work?

I've heard that you can hallucinat units that you don't already got, is this true? Also how much hp do they recieve? Is it a set number, the same as the hallucinationated unit? Or is it a % of the hallucinationed unit?

Same as the hallucinating unit, but they have attack damage = 0. Only the attack animation. Hand they have a cooldown on them, so they will vanish after a minute or somthing like that.

Edit: they have the same amount of hp as the real unit, but they take twice as much damage.

Are there any interesting replays using this ability? I can say that I've yet to see hallucination used in more than 200 games (well, either that or I never noticed it).

Hallucination is godly. Spam Immortals or Void Ray hallucinations and its hundreds of extra HP for you opponent to waste shots on.

I just stated my question wrong, ofcourse I meant if they take extra amount of damage. If they got less hp you can se whose fake :P

You can Hallucinate units you don't have the tech for yet.

When you cast Hallucination - it brings up a list of units you can create. Each spell casts 100 energy. I believe some of the lower tier units, you create 2 illusions as a time, you can also create 4 probes as well.

So when you cast Hallucination, you press N for the hot key, then chose the unit/s you want to create.
