Eh, you can get to the platinum league with placement matches by playing normally. And you're certainly not going to stay there if your only strat is cannon rush.

Hmm, I assume cannon rush can work against zerg (though probably not as well), but I notice there were no zerg players in your video compilations. Have you tried this again any zerg players yet, sysrpl?

It was a fun video to watch, but yeah, this strat (just like in sc:bw) will fail 9/10 times against skilled players.

Cannon rush doesn't work so well against zerg. The creep outranges/prevents you from placing cannon close to their hatchery. Also, their primary first building (spawning pool) opens up the zerg ground static defense (sunken colony) creating stalemates.

Cannon rush shouldn't work against terran either. If they get one or two marines they can prevent you from advancing cannons by unless the map has some weird artifact.

Cannon rush works best against protoss. They basically have no defense against it other than scouting your probe/pylon, getting their own cannons to stalemate you, or getting lucky by playing on a map where cannons can't easily be hidden.
