    I don't know, probably poison or to deflect a hit. Does she excerts any control over it?

    Really?! I had just assumed they were dreadlocks formed from due to the lack of water that is preventing Kerrigan from showering.

    I'd say they serve some function, be it detection like Overlord antennae, or communication via the hive mind.
