Maybe the Immortal's shields should short-circuit at any single-strike damage over 100 (count nuke in, but 250mm out). Oh, apparently nukes bypass hardened shields anyway, at least according to the wikia.

The 250mm cannons deal fast bursts of 20 damage.dealing 500 dmg over 6 seconds.THis ability ONLY advantage over the GtG attack is that it stun's the target,Thor's normal attack deals the same dmg and even more with all 3 ugprades...And yes it counts as 'special' damage that can't be reduced by ANYTHING-This is of course cuz of gameplay.....

As for real life does anyone realise what kind of massive kinetic energy will be released by 250mm round flying at supersonic speeds??? One Thor can pretty much bust several neiburhoods to smithereens,And if anything is hit by that kind of energy it will be crushed VERY easy, considering that it's very fast round,I mean hell the Thor's Hammers are 'Parcitcle' Accelerators do you know what kind of speeds are achieved there?

This has already been determined by others to be 100% incorrect.

which part? the 20 damage burst or the fact that Thors with all upgrades deal more damage than the 250mm cannons? Look i told you already,as you said you play SC2 so make how many tests do you want...OR give me a video that says otherwise...

Isn't the Lore forum a more fitting place for discussions about if unit/weapon design is physically possible or not?

That is also my theory; all special abilities completely ignores any kind of damage reduction.
If also the Seeker Missile of the Raven deals its full 100 damage to an Immortal this would support this theory further; can anyone confirms it?
Does the Guardian Shield reduces the damage of a SM down to 98? It reduces the damage done to an Immortal to 8 with Hardened Shields.

For the last time YES,all abilities that require energy deal special damage that can't be reduced by anything including immortal shields...

Well this is my first post to the forums. But from what I remember in real life if a nuke goes off it deals an emp burst as well as the massive damage that it causes. So to me it seams fair that it bypasses immortals shields as the emp would wipe out their shields in the first place.
