Do you guys know if this is intended?
I wonder if the guy did this on purpose with its probe

That's pointless if you already have one geyser up and running.

This has been a legitimate tactic in Brood War for years. Its effectiveness in SC2 is greatly diminished for reasons Demo stated: You've got two geysers at every main.
oh wait, just saw the pic again. Hm... this is new.

I play Zerg and believe me; it's not. Double-gassing temporarily for an early Lair is something us Zergs like to do. And getting it blocked by bad coding like this is not something I like to see happening. That's pointless if you already have one geyser up and running.
At least make the Protoss waste the minerals on a full-on gas steal.

Some clarification to the picture:
I've build an zerg extractor and I am trying to build my second, but a scouting probe is placed exactly in a spot that prevents me from building...
The probe did not build an extractor or did any kind of action, it was just idling in the space.

Attack it.
If it moves, build there.
If it doesnt, kill it, then build there.
Still, would be a frustrating position to be in![]()

This should not be.... the only place an extractor take is the geyser itself. This must be a bug, or someone at blizz is laughing alone in a dark room....

I've noticed this too, not because my opponent intentionally did it to me, but because I've effectively blocked my own gas with my own units. Kind of annoying, presumably unintentional.
