Thread: OL Rally Point

  1. #1

    Default OL Rally Point

Should overlords have their own rally points? Considering most of us stick them in a corner anyway...

    I don't think so. o.O

Just use the egg rally point.

Would be nice, but Gradius is right on this one.

Well when you make them, you can just give them whatever rally point you want, since every zerg egg can have its own rally point. I like to spread mine out to spread creep anyways so I don't think this is really necessary. There's already 2 rally points per hatchery and adding more would just be more complex. As is, right click minerals for worker rally and ground for unit rally. What would it be for OL rally? ctrl-right click? I dont feel it's that much of a micro requirement that you move your OLs yourself to warrant this addition.

I don't even play Zerg and I know that if you're not spreading your OL's and OS's all over the map dropping creep and Changelings, you're not playing Zerg properly.

    Yeesh.

Aha! You wouldn't happen to have some dark and sinister plan with this one right, Demo? I mean, ovies can sometimes seem to have squid-like features and all.

The idea is to give each of the basic zerg units a macro advantage.

    Drones: Unique rally points
Queen: Uses production queues instead of larva
    Overlords: Doesnt use supply

Nah just kidding. Blizzard has forgotten how to build macro infrastructure from the ground up in a consistant and racially unique manner. Probably was Bill Roper's job....
