Robert Kotick is pretty much Satan

*nods* I think it's high time the tone of this thread is removed from the forum. I'll leave it simple.

Bobby Kotick cares about the bottom line of his company and views it as a business that produces a product. It's his job to provide information to the shareholders that ensure shares get purchased. As long as shares get purchased, people keep thier jobs and developers do what they love.

As long as developers do what they love, they make good games. As long as a company makes good games, people will recognize that and keep purchasing games. Games will get awards, which gives Bobby something to say to shareholders to ensure they keep putting money into shares into the company.

Does he say things that are publically acceptable at times? No. But he's the CEO of a behemoth company that provides solid amounts of product for the industry it exists in.

Let's face it, ignore his words and look at the actions of his company. They provide good games and the people who create those games have had a good chance of never even speaking to Bobby Kotick. I will purchase games to support the developers and producers, not to punish a CEO who says things to provide supporting thoughts to the shareholders.

At the end of the day, if you have a child, Bobby Kotick doesn't effect if you can buy them diapers or not. He won't change the type of gas you put in your car. And if you play StarCraft II, Bobby Kotick saying words to the Media won't do a thing about the balance of a Zealot 2 shotting or 3 shotting a zergling.

Ultimately, your getting mad at the public words that this man says. The only reason it truly effects your life is that you empower yourself to be changed. Be more respectful to him as a human being, whether you think he's poor or great, you still need to show more respect. Can't help but be amused by his last name, which for those knowing Russian reads as "Kitty". It may be mean to laugh at someone based on their name alone, but considering the nature of the remarks uttered by the aforesaid gentleman I reserve for myself the right, after all according to him I'm just an "idiot gamer".
