If you guys were facing a terran army of marines and thors, would you guys fungal growth first and then try to NP the thors? Or would you go straight to NP'ing the thors so it doesn't kill your infestor beforehand? I seemed to have faced this a few times in the silver league.

Against marines/thors i would ditch the infestors and make tons of roaches
If you must use infestors though, I guess it depends what the marine:thor ratio is. In most cases I would probably fungal first though, since you can fungal then NP, while the contrary is impossible (against a decent player your infestor'll be sniped while NP is being channeled).

Could someone please remind me how many hp the infestor's got? Do they get killed in one hit by thors?

Roaches are useful against Thors? That's good to know and I'll try that next time. Infestors have 90 HP with no armor, so Thors have just enough attack power to one-shot them.

they have exacly 90hp with 0 armor, and on top of that they are armored ....so yes indeed thors will snipe them with a single attack-(altough i'm not 100% sure if the natural regeneration of zerg units will make it survive to 1 hp,or probably the 1hp regeneration doesn't kick in immediatly after the damage was done-like it was in wc3...)

Ah, if they've got 90hp then they should 2-shot them. That's how it worked for hydra until they nerfed them, and they had the exact same stats. That's good to know.

@Alex: Yeah roaches do pretty well against thors as long as you can get them close. Of course zerglings are better, but they get toasted by hellions. Replay#2 from this thread shows roach usage versus thors, hells and tanks if you want.

I find it really hard to get your Roaches to the Thors, especially if they are combined with M&M army, and Thors does have range of 7 and 2-shot Roaches... :/

Just like against any other unit, you always need to move your roaches forward after every single hit so that more and more of your roaches are in range. If you don't micro your roaches like that they'll always be useless in large battles. On the other hand, unlike MM, the thor can't really move away because it's so awkward.
Burrow movement can be used to great effect as well, since getting thors means less gas for ravens (like in the replay I posted).
Against a marauder heavy army, of course roaches aren't the best idea (just get zerglings and own it all), but against an army with a marine or hellion majority (with thors) the roaches will do well because they don't take any crazy damage and respond well.

edit: I'm a bit surprised this is "news". They've really worked well for me so far, but i don't have much of a theoretical basis for this besides the fact that they deal good damage, are very mobile with speed and mitigate the "assisting unit's" damage pretty well.
I guess it just comes down to gameflow where you never see thor/banshee/marines and rarely see thor/marauder combinations. Also, when a terran player gets thors his army is generally smaller than it would have been with pure MMM+V and roaches do well against smaller armies because of their low range, and back-transitioning to roaches is so easy.

It is perhaps the best and only good zerg spell imo.

    Infested Marines suck
Neural Parasite is just good against thors and when they are alone which makes lings a better counter. Therefore also sucks

It also counters really well medivac raids very nice.
Hey guys I want you all to know that my team is playing/did great this weekend so I am going to go ahead and make it my status because I know you all care and want to know my opinion on it.

The fact that the Infestor is tethered to the unit permanently is what makes it unworkable. The original form was just a 10-second mind control, but this form means that the unit will simply be under control for about 1 second before the Infestor is focus-fired and killed.
