And it's a highly mobile spellcaster that can cloak.

In this one case, the spells are superfluous to the power of the spellcaster itself. The Infestor can pop up out of anywhere and provide good support. It amounts to basically a cloaked army of marines. Or a cloaked cast of a spell which freezes your army in place, making it a sitting duck. (And an immobilization spell is very powerful.) Or a unit that can mind control your large units before they can react.

In general they kinda suck right now. But that has more to do with stats than with the mechanical design of the spell-caster itself.

Nope it's not a stun,Thor's ability is a stun-where the target CAN'T do any action during the duratation, while FG only stops movement...So i guess it's something like mass ensnare(wc3) + DPS...

Infested terran is retarded, fungal groth is just a stun, while units are still able to attack. Stun is more awesome. Parasite was a already in Brood war with other name and other race, and it was way more amazing there.

When you look at SC1, Queens were replaced with infestors. And Infestors is pretty much better caster than a Queen was in SC1. Yes, they are amazing, it is my opinion. After I saw mass Infestors + Brood Lords vs. Terran, I can say that even Infested Terrans are amazing for backing up your Brood Lords with anti-air and making great mass with Broodlings. You can also cast infested Terrans in the middle of Terran army, if it is made of Tanks so they would splash all over their own units. The only thing I think is that infested Terrans should last much longer in comparison to Auto-Turret.

You want to use infested terrans against a tank heavy army?

Please stop with the silly theories: "yeah spawn your infested terrans next to the marines so the tanks shoot at them!!" (same as using NP on air units....)... The tanks will kill the infestors before they attack the marines.
And if your BL are already shooting (hence saving your infestors from immediate death), that function is already well fulfilled by the spawned broodlings, so you might as well use your energy for something else.
You're saying this as though it were advice, but it really isn't, which is a bit frustrating because it makes all "strategy" discussions uselesss. If you can't trust anything you read in most threads and it's just a waste of time to try them out, what's the point?

On the other hand, I suppose infested terrans could be used to help assist as anti-air (I wouldn't know, i've never tried), but using them for splash tank damage to assist your BLs is without a doubt just a waste.

Yes, because I have a LOT of abilities to use with Infestors vs. Terran.
So yes, there are a lot of your units there, and Tanks will just shoot all of your Infestors, I wasn't talking in combination with Brood Lords, read again, I was talking when fighting with different army, Roaches/Hydras/Infestors/Banelings or something like that. Btw range of Spawn Infested Terran is pretty long.

I have already used Infestors vs. Terrans with Tanks, so don't know why are you arguing with me if you didn't try it and I did?

You're not talking about the same situation here? Because it definitely sounds like you are...

I'm arguing because advice needs to be coming from somewhere, not just random theorycrafting. Also, there's a difference between saying "this is great!" and "I managed to make this work in a game, but I have no idea if that was my best option".
Maybe you mispoke and that's that.

I was specifically bugged by the "just NP those air units!", which was a blatant display of uninformed theorycraft, which sucks. I saw the same thing here.

Well, yes I made an mistake on Neural Parasite cause it could be used on air units till patch 5, and I totally forgot that they have changed it.

I just don't see "uninformed" here, where actually I didn't say anything that was wrong like with Neural Parasite.

Where did I say it is the best option? I said it is amazing, you can take that as you want, it was pretty amazing for me to make something like that work, because that spell is pretty much weaker than any other or spell alike. Amazing =/= Great as you are thinking it is...

Maybe it sounds, "You can also..." is meant to be in different situation you can also do that and that, but never mind, I would never used Infested Terrans for Tanks if I have Brood Lords since in that case role of the Broodlings would overlap the role of the Infested Terrans...
