I don't see why you'd make the cost equal to a drone if the BT will be reduced. Think of the Orc Tiny Great Hall item from TFT: you could build a great hall in fifteen secs or so with your hero, but it was nearly twice as expansive.
Time is money.

People need to realize that Teamliquid is a different kind of site. Should www.webmd.com allow anyone to edit entries like wikipedia? I think not.
StarcraftLegacy is great for allot of reasons. Teamliquid is great for allot of reasons. But they are great for different reasons and fill different roles in the Starcraft community. In the same vein BNET also has a purpose.

Im so happy TL added those new rules, there was so many horrible threads going up lol
<3 Kennigt so funny
TL is a great community just like this one no reason to pointlessly flame them - its not hard to survive on TL and its a great bunch of guys - N00b you could put that thread in a blog I belive ;d Just need a bit more elaboration on why you think its a good idea and why you think they need it
Anyway about this idea - I rather see the queen do something that I can't already do with a drone >< Zerg already has a cheap expand, I don't find any trouble putting down hatcherys and when you take your thrid its usally in a riskyer location I wouldn't want to walze my queen up to my third instead of a drone..

Response to above
Hidden Content:
Another thing I was thinking about with this idea was, with how slow the queen moves across non creeped areas of the map, when do you really want to use this abblity? IT would be stupid to build a queen AND then take your natural and THEN build another queen.
I don't see one practical use for this =/

They want to make Balance threads require a high level of supporitng evidence.
And the TL moderators definatly are humorous. Youll notice that Kennigit's signature says
While Chill signature says*********IF YOU PM ME ABOUT YOUR CLOSED THREAD YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY BANNED. PLEASE PM CHILL - CLOSED THREAD JUDICATOR*********
If you have any questions about thread closing or bans, PM Kennigit please.

It's funny that people harp on TL.net for being elitist and only want players who have a reasonable sense of how the game is played to post about balance
I don't really see any interesting gameplay options with this. The Queen is slower off of creep; the Queen is a pseudo caster unit that has energy it can use to be useful at most any point of the game; the Queen is a 150 mineral unit that takes a while to build and is not as easy to replace as a drone.
This idea has no reason to be added other than being 'different'. Zerg don't have any problems with expanding or working with Hatchery costs, so this idea is adding another method of expansion that isn't being asked for. Zerg don't need to expand any faster, and sacrificing the Queen, a unit that has multiple purposes in a Zerg base either for macro-mechanics or as base defense (Attacking, Transfusion on buildings) makes little sense. It's like we could say a Thor should be able to turn into a Planetary Defense based on the fact it's big, expensive, and has big guns.
