I'll buy the special edition, and the ones for the expansions if there are, which I'm sure there will be.
Since you guys need a little help:
StarCraft II WoL standard = $60
StarCraft II HotS, LotV = $40 each, estimated
Going standard on everything: 60+40+40 = $140
The $60 sounds about right if they were to make a special edition for each of the expansions. If it was, you're talking $220 to buy all special editions.

Thats just me, I'm not saying that everyone would want it that way. I just think they got a little carried away on the content not related to SC2. And I didnt say sacrifice the drive, just SC1 on the drive.
The SE content thats included is basically priced like an expansion, and to me a lot of the extras are useless.
Ummmm... no?

"Wings is the first installment in a planned SC2 trilogy. It comes with a single-player campaign for the Terran faction as well as the full multiplayer component. The two later releases will add the Zerg and Protoss campaigns."
if you don't believe me do a google search for "wings of liberty first installment"
It's part 1 of 3 like i said.. Terran Protoss Zerg
$60 Respectively

The Warcraft 3 Collector's Edition was the last Collector's Edition that was truly worth it. The art book was really amazing for the vanilla release. I'll probably be buying it as long as I can get my hands on one.

Dude, stop being an idiot troll. People at blizzard have said many times to think of it as SC2 base game and 2 expansion packs and that is the way they will be priced. The information from the original announcement was very misleading, which is where you are getting your info from.
3 Expansions? You need to have an actual game to expand first.

You can't have expansions without a core game to expand from, so it doesn't make sense to label the entire trilogy as three expansions.
Besides, we have Blizzard on record saying that as well:
"The StarCraft II Trilogy consists of the base StarCraft II game and two subsequent expansion sets."

I can pretty much guarantee that the pricing will be around 60/40/40. There's absolutely no precedent that implies that the expansions will be any higher than that.

They have MAYBE 90 percent of the Multiplayer units done for what we'll have by the end of Heart. But Campaign? Slightly more than half, no more.
Battle.net is NOT mostly done. They're still working on it, and they'll continue patching in features after Wings's release; they've said this much officially. Why would they stop upon Heart's? That makes no sense.3. Battle.net mostly done, minor improvements needed
Given that there will be a shitton of new units and buildings -- and new music tracks being released for each race, if TFT is any indication -- sound is FAR from finished. But that much was already obvious.4. Sounds done mostly
I could go on forever, don't tell me the development time is going to be just as long and costly, then the expansion would be coming out years from now.
If your point is that Heart will not take as long to produce as Wings, then I don't know why you're making it, because I don't anyone who'd disagree. But TFT had a lot less new things than Heart will, and it still cost the full $45.
