Its a ground unit that is flying... have you ever fought this thing when its walking up on a high ground in a middle of a fight and you ground units cant do anything about it =\
its a walking seige tank with no harmful splash damage into your melee units, i think its balanced that it can be hit my air and ground units.

Some important things that I've done 3 times to rip this to shreads, each time involved void ray usage.
In every situation I saw corruptors around late midgame when I had no air, as I was awesome (aka, had too many minerals/gas) I built 4 starport and chronosed out 8 void rays, hard production with highest priority. When I had them, I make a judgement. If they have 1.5 corruptors per void ray, it's safe to attack.
The trick however is to not blindly attack them the moment they come. Macro while you're waiting and don't assault them without "lvl 2" attack active. A xel'naga watch tower showed that they were moving to my base, I waited for the right time and used my own voidrays to kill one of the starports. They all reached lvl 2 AS the assault came in.
Let me tell you, 8 void rays with lvl 2 attack (where the + armored damage kicks in) created a situation of *POP! POP! POP!* I find that the MAJOR mistake that people do with void rays is try to attack with their lvl 1 attack in an equal fight. If you have the advantage and don't fear losses (15 void rays vs 15 marines for example) then build up the beam... but if you got something like 8 corruptors to 8 void rays, sacrifice a building to get that lvl 2 ray and you will see your counter come from "let's hope" to "Oh shit!!"

tehre is no level 3 anymore alduris. SNAP OUT OF IT!
they patched it you know...
or, maybe you could say there's no level TWO anymore, jstu one and three.
I am an enthusiast of good strategy games, sc2Esports and rollplay, although i dont really play anything atm.
I work an internship at a government agency this fall, and have a good time at it.
