If you're overclocking, no need to say you put everything back to normal speeds.
You can also get a free program called HWMonitor to check your CPU/GPU temps. If they're running in excess of 90 degrees you've got problems, and may need to replace or clean your fans. SC2 is especially taxing on the GPU and can cause temps to rise.

If it's not hardware related, you may be due for a reformatting.

I perfer MSI Afterburner cause not only does it monitor temperatures you can set fan speeds to increase when temp does.

PC is HP, bought from FutureShop from a tech-savvy friend who works there, got me 1/4 off the regular price.

I'll try your temperature checking suggestions.

sounds like something ate your computer's face off...

luckily, HP has a factory default you can access by hitting esc at the bios (should bring up options, select system recovery)

inside the recovery program, it will give you the option to back up your stuff, if you don't want to lose anything

*I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials for Anti-virus, when you get it back up and running :P

Eww, I recommend anything that's not microshaft or Norton.

Updating that I just bought Windows 7. Everything seems to be working better now, re-installing all my programs as we speak, hoping this works out.

Fresh install, full wipe. Thankfully I had nothing of real value on my PC, just games.
