I like the way they decided to buff spine crawlers. They can deal a lot of damage if you have a lot of them. Could make their ability to uproot useful with creep tumors. Zerg air vs Terran is worthless now though, which sucks because it's one of the best ways to take on some of those wallins.

Irony they buff the base defenses just as we start debating if they need a buff.

This is a 37.5% damage output increase vs. Roaches. (or other armored).Spine Crawler
+ Damage has been increased from 20+10 armored to 25+5 armored.
+ Attack period decreased from 2.2 to 1.6.
Vs. non-armored, this is a 71.8% increase in damage output. So pretty non-trivial. Certainly, they'll stand up a lot better against Zealots. So really, going Roaches vs. Protoss isn't that important in the early game anymore.

Haha and theres the roach nerf I was expecting lol
Hmmm going to have to do things a bit different now. This really throws PvZ off
And makes ZvZ more hydra/roach based - which is good

How do you figure? What it does is make turtling more effective, thus allowing for Lair-tech builds to actually work. Infestors, Hydras, and Mutalisks are now that much more available. And makes ZvZ more hydra/roach based - which is good
Organic Carapace almost never played a role in ZvZ. Not unless someone was suicide-fast-teching to Hive.

What are you taking about I get hive tech roaches in almost every ZvZ I play o.0 Hell during the MLG showmatch series there was hive roaches in both ZvZs If I remember right
Its really not that hard to do, and its not alot of gas its not like roaches are gas heavy - and I dont think mutas are going to be used even now - you need a standing ground army or you'll just get ran over. We'll see though
I think for the most part we'll see hydra heavy armys with roach meat, mutas get raped by hydras and cant kill roaches fast. Infestors might work, though there a bit fragile for my taste
