Clearly the medivac was engineered by the long decedent of the medic from Team Fortress 2.
As for transporting the Thor I rather like the fact that it goes into cargo mode, actually makes sense and looks fairly reasonable when being caried.

Medics used a variety of tools to heal wounded, including but not limited to laser-scalpels, various chemical cocktails, and nanite-conveyed treatment. Of course none of these things could happen nearly as quickly as they do in gameplay.
My bet is that medivacs come equipped with a medical crew supplemented by advanced intensive care technology, using some of the stuff above, plus other treatments that couldn't by carried into the battlefield by medics due to power demands, supply or delicate machinery. Moreover, using a crew of several would make treatment more thorough -- one specializes in physical injuries, another biological warfare, yet another a mechanic or technician...

Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

lol wow, I can't believe there are people who actually take in game statistics to argue and debate instead of using the books and such.
Are they idiots?

No I know what the TC was trying to do lol, and indeed it was funny. I was referring to those people debating against SC and saying that gameplay was the best indication of canon status.

meh! Everyone knows that lasers in sci-fi series and movies don't make any sense. I think the best i seen is from Terminator, that is a pulsating beam of light.
I remember the old "V" series. The lasers were so slow, that you wondered why people didn't dodge them![]()

Medivac beam is clearly an adapted moduel of a short range protoss warp in system. The medivac is packed with surplus of organs and body parts ready to be warped into a marine or w/e that is need of a replacement part

Still prefer the nanomachines explanation, but meh given how much sense all of that makes this is still possible
I'm still waiting for some kind of explanation as to why they can't heal the units they're carrying, (apart from: the magic light is outside not inside) from a lore point of view
