Thread: Is voice acting final?

I know the voice are final, I know the overall work ISNT THAT bad...but Blizzard just need to show some auto respect and make a great voice work as they usually (excuse me...ALWAYS) do...Its sad to see that even the critters of WC3 show more love in their sounds and voice work than in SC2.

ps: "old" new zealot zealous voice must be back, FTW!
Heheheeey, I need some strong coffee.

my ears hurt when I hear either Zerg or Terrans
Nomad voice is like the worst thing I have ever heard in a video game

Well, the Zealot voice when they've been Neural Parasite'd doesn't have a filter. It's just the raw voice actor. Does that count as broken?

Plus - there's TONS more work done on the Terrans, since they're the main race being played through Single Player.

I think that there's still a bit to be desired from the Voice Acting, but then again, the majority of it's all gonna be in the Single Player Performances for me... (I'm still holding my breath to see how I take to Kerrigan's new voice in the flashback scene).

    "Just acceptable" isn't acceptable enough.

Also what is going on with the Thor's voice? Just cut the unit.

A great deal of the audio is disappointing for me, aside from the Terran music. From the voice work to some of the music, it's a bit of a let-down. Hopefully they are just placeholders and the full release will be better.

I think it's pretty good personally. I'm not in love with it yet, but maybe that'll come with time.

I was never totally in love with the voice acting in the first game either, though. It was fun and memorable but it was just so over the top in so many places.

That's kinda what Bill Roper does best, though. :P

I'd agree that some voices are probably in need of a few touch ups; the battlecruiser and hellion for example, and the zerg announcer just makes me cringe.

Then again putting aside nostalgia and looking at sc1 objectively. The acting in that game wasn't really anything to write home about either, or at least nowhere near as good as many fanbois are making it out to be. In many ways it was extremely campy and over the top. Memorable? Definitely, but that's not always a good thing.
