On a semi-related note, what're your takes on technically 'legal' cheats such as spying on your opponent's livestream or having a friend in Observer Mode report to you everything that's going on? Yes, it takes a sad, sad person to cheat in friendly/casual games. But then again, seeing as how there are people cheating in beta, there's little doubt this is going to happen once the game's out.

Are there any "smoking gun" ways to identify an amateur map hacker? I remember when WC3 first came out, people held down a key during replays and trailed where an enemy had viewed or selected units. I think they were able to identify map hackers if the accused hacker was able to focus his attention or unit selection within his fog of war.

Yep. There are definitely map hacks out there. I did a TvT reaper rush on metalopolis and built my rax in the very southern part of my 2:00 spawn. From his camera he repeatedly clicks to that part of the map before scouting. Later in the game he sent his entire army to my main--still having not scouted it.
Believe it or not his handle is "Hacker"
