Thread: Bored of SC2

At times 1v1 can get very boring. 2v2 helps some by allowing you to be around people only in game and party though...

I think the #1 reason why I get bored on Bnet (in comparison to WC3 Bnet) is that there are no chat channels. I feel completely alone on Bnet and it gives me a VERY bored feeling, chat channels HELPED avoid that feeling entirely. Sorry, until chat channels, WC3 still reigns supreme in fun-factor thus far.

I will admit, chat does help immensely.

Please note, I said unofficial. I am not talking about a Blizzard AI.

Don't know why they don't added them right away, maybe they want people to discuss on Bnet forum so they can track everything. But in the final game there will be chat channel for sure. Why bothering link every game in the same Bnet if you can't talk!

People tend to forget they don't have the final game, we are beta tester, not normal player. We got the privilege to play a little part of the game and the responsibility to help improve this game. Give your feedback about the core gameplay, not about how Bnet is boring or about the 8 map available, your are testing the game....

Btw, i want snow tileset so bad too!

They are child's play for anyone who is fairly experienced, but they still have enough smarts to beat a noob who is unfamiliar with RTS games. I think there is a slight bug, however, because they can't seem to figure out how to blow up the rocks blocking additional resources, keeping them in their base, or keeping them out of yours. It's rather annoying.

I'm told that the most advanced AI they have is the equivalent of Boxer + cheat codes.
Not quite. I play against the most difficult AI with cheats, and it's pretty hard, but once I learn their build orders and methods I've been able to win every single game quite easily. And that's the 6.0 version with cheats.

But it is superior to the AI in SCBW for sure.

If SC2 comes with an AI that is truly challenging I will be incredibly impressed. The most advanced AI in not just SC1, but WC3 and practically any RTS game I've ever played doesn't come close to even a mediocre human player who is familiar with the game. The AI in SC2 would have to represent some kind of quantum leap in order to be worth playing against, so I remain skeptical.

I don't even have a Beta key and I am bored of SC2. Maybe it's just playing against the AI that has gotten old. The Multiplayer experience is lack luster, but I can't quite put my finger on why.
You don't have a beta key, so your experience with SC2 is through the "Very Easy" AI (so named because it's, you know, Very Easy). And you're bored.

Duh! I wouldn't expect you to get anything out of the AI. Any player worth their salt can just rush a unit and kill the AI, no problem.

When you play actual human beings and can say the game is boring, we can talk.

There are more advanced versions of AI that people made for the people not in beta, but its still not close to the same as playing against people.

As the person before me said, there are over a hundred versions of AI you can play. Just google it and you'll see all the hits. From my understanding, not all of them are "very easy"...
