SC2 is fun because it's a competitive game, so yeah, your issue is definitely from playing with the AI.

Haha, civilization, I remember that. I had one back in the late 90s, not sure which edition it was.

Definitely. I played against the AI in custom matches in SCBW to learn how to play in that setting, and I learned quickly and became bored of beating the computer with every different unit combination within a week or two. Then I felt confident enough to try playing online, and I continued to get better and proceeded to play online BW for 2 years straight, took a few years off, and then played online for another 3 years straight.

As far as AI has come, it still is no match for the creativity, imperfections, and overall unpredictability a human opponent provides.

The only thing that i' waiting for now is the editor, i actualy haven't played the beta for more than a week now, lol i haven't even bothered making a new acount after the reset (melle is not realy for me , somehow i was geting to excited/adrenalized playing it, and emotional when losing a game)
You should give your key to someone else then, someone worthy, desperate, handsome, someone like ME!!

Only kidding, but are beta users even allowed to give up their key to someone else if they decided they didn't want to play anymore? Or is it attached to the computer/account it was first enabled on?

I'm anything but bored because I'm still trying to get used to the interface. There are tons of things that I always had to do in SC1 that I never have to do in SC2. Instead of going back to my base to make units and do research, I can put all of my training buildings in one group and all of my research buildings in another and operate them from anywhere I please. I keep having to tell myself, "Dude, noobonic . . . you don't need to go back to your base for that." So yeah, since I'm too busy fighting myself to be fighting anyone else, I'm sticking to A.I. for a little while.

Even playing against the AI, you can see all the good ideas that were put into the game. I think they crippled the AI exclusively to avoid people getting a good play against a good computer AI for free. IIRC, it was supposed to be a challenge in some of the Blizzcons, right?

Anyways, the game should be good. They just need to balance it a little more, and modify some things here and there, and the matchmaking system needs to be flawless. There are huge skill differences.

Blizzard is going to release the actual game with high-quality AI play right? I thought I remember hearing that in a video a long time ago. Like if the AI is attacking you and you have far better units, then they will fall back and what not...

There is an unofficial AI that is far superior to the current AI blizz have included with SC2. Obviously Blizzard included a rubbish AI to encourage you to play against real people, thereby increasing the value of the beta. That said, the current version of unofficial AI is actually very playable - something akin to SC1 AI.

Technically no, and most likely wont since it is tied to their bnet account. So if I tried to let other people use my beta account, they would have access to my WoW/War3/D2/SC as well.

The moment they release the Galaxy Editor for beta, the place is gonna go NUTS.
    Are they really doing this?
    "Wait.....no Gzhee-Gzhee.....?.....whu......Why no Ghzhee-Gzhee?!?!?!?!"

The only AI they have in there right now is named "Very Easy". They build only from the first tier or so, send only a handful of units at you at a time, and expand very slowly. They are child's play for anyone who is fairly experienced, but they still have enough smarts to beat a noob who is unfamiliar with RTS games. I think there is a slight bug, however, because they can't seem to figure out how to blow up the rocks blocking additional resources, keeping them in their base, or keeping them out of yours. It's rather annoying.

I'm told that the most advanced AI they have is the equivalent of Boxer + cheat codes.
