    Ok zerg players I've played ALOT of ZvT vs my friend lately and I have some thoughts.

    First of all let me say I usally DONT win and I consider us about even in 1v1.

    Things to watch out for -

    Thor drops on a cliff - Honestly after the patch specially this is so freaking annoying, so first of all you cant see it without a overlord (which it can shoot at) and EVEN if you can see it, thors kill hydras in ONE freaking hit and can rape mutas. I lost 8 hydras 1 queen and a hatchery to ONE thor on a cliff that wasn't even being repaired yestrday, WATCH out for this and sadly I don't have a easy way to stop it lol.

    The early game harassment possibilitys, alot of the terrans early game plans revolve around them harrasing you and getting there natural expo up, I don't think you can stop them from expanding safely. Make sure you are a iron wall vs his harrasment prepare for the following EVERY game since its almost impossible to scout it out in time otherwise.

    Hellion runbys - THis happens almost every game...followed by sometimes
    1 Banshee harass - this can kill you outright if you don't prepare for it. And followed by -...-
    Viking/Hellion drop - At the same time they drop ure base with hellions (that may or may not have the damn upgrade) and hunt overlord with vikings.


    After you have defended yourself they usally have a pretty decent army at there natural, so my plan is get a fast third that usally comes after you've stopped the would be drop or so, and you outmacro them on 3 base vs 2 taking a 4th if you win a battle or if you can sneak it.

    Brood lords are nice and really help but really its just out macroing them with a bunch of stuff - but IF you can get to brood lords your in good shape its not a bad plan since zerg dose not need to attack to win in any matchup. You take bases deny his 3rd base and slowly pick away at him and win battles until its GG.

    Hey there, when it comes to terran, I'm not really sure how to counter an early rush of marines and marauders. In this game, I had only a group of roaches and his micro was pretty good while I wasn't sure what to do in response to it. Anyone have any advice for this 11 minute game?

    you overinvested in tech and expoansion before attaining a bulk of units taht could stand up to his: he hardcountered your roaches with his force that was like 80% marauders.

    scouting an enemy ramp, not least a terran one, can be quite helpfull, as units usualy stand around behind it; that way ou get a look at what he's getting.. had you done that and seen "mass marauders" .... get enough speedlings and spread your creep.

    i mostly get roaches vs terran to deterr harass by reaper & helion, and to counter helion (/marine)
    I am an enthusiast of good strategy games, sc2Esports and rollplay, although i dont really play anything atm.
    I work an internship at a government agency this fall, and have a good time at it.

    Do you guys think speedlings are a decent counter to marines and marauders? It seems to me that if you are able to get a surround, you can do quite a bit of damage. Though, I was only able to do this against Terran players in the silver league. What do you guys think?

    Speedlings + banelings do well but speedlings alone wont be enough

    Hey all, I didn't get a beta key but I'm trying to keep myself up to date with the game. I was wondering something. I don't see people taking advantage of the overlord's spawn creep ability too much.

    I know you have to wait til Lair to get it, but it seems useful in controlling the map particularly against Terran and Protoss. You can have your Overlord spew creep at mineral patches preventing them from building there and at least buying yourself 30 seconds for the creep to disappear.

    And btw, I tried this out the other day and I thought I should post this since some of you might be wondering:

    Burrowed movement DOES indeed go under forcefields! Haven't had a chance to use this yet, but it could definitely be very interesting in ZvP. (kinda knowledge that would be interesting in the OP if I may say burrowed movement, the fact that infestors don't die from one thor hit, etc...)
