its a really cool map whit some really good references to many things and the skycrapers look very good.

And i do also hope that some parts of the campaign will take place in this enormous metropolis.

will be very red alert 2 style. But that is very cool and there building a baze in a city kinda worked out to u just need to find a patch of grass or a park to screw up
The INFERNALelf is coming for ya

    no prisoners will be taken.

    char code 330

Will there be a single player campaign that takes place on this super planetary wide city?

I will proceed on the assumption that the planet will indeed appear in the campaign. If this is so, then another question begs to be asked:

Where is this planet? The terrans of the Dominion were strNsed convicts only a hundred years prior, so it is doubtful they could grow the population to that size, or build a city that large in so short a time.

I'm inclined to believe that such a planet is controlled by the United Earth Directorate. Could this planet even be earth or another colony controlled by the UED. What do you think?
The map has Mengsk statue all over it I doubt UED would let those exist xD

The interesting thing is that Terran and Zerg have always been more geared towards "believable" scifi. (ie. Aliens movie style)

The Protoss on the other hand, has been and is becoming more fantasy.
    Technologically advanced - scifi
    Telepathic ancient species - scifi
Light / Dark energy, void etc. - I can't help starting to think "Use the force Luke!"

You know, it's interesting now that you bring that up... why does telepathy get to be sci-fi, as opposed to magic? It's not like there's any more precedent for it than for anything else in SC. Is it the sciencey name? Well, what if the Protoss' light/void bending powers were renamed... oh, Iunno, Photokineses or something? Are they now sci-fi?

    Yes they are!

About this situations you know when it comes right down to it there's not much of a difference between fantasy and sci-fi... just that one says: "It's magic!" while the other says "It's science!" and there's a lot more metal, blue pulsating liquids and blinking lights in one of them

Psionics in sci-fi assumes there is a fifth force in nature, a psi force that can be manipulated by minds.

lol so that's the fifth element.
I always thought the fifth element was Milla Jovovich.
But back on topic has any sci-fi element so far tried to explain psionics by the ways of science?

I said fifth force, not fifth element. And no, there's no process known today by which psionics can work.

Indeed. However telepathy should be very possible, just an organic version of a radio antenna and radio transmitter. I wouldn't be surprised if many species exist (not necessarily intelligent) in our galaxy at this very moment that communicate this way. Of course it would be communication only between those of the same species.
