I picked 'Experienced', went 5-0 and now I'm in Platinum, 77th in Division 10 . The same Division as Smuft .

Frankly, this stinks because I'm almost guaranteed to lose my next 20 games in a row >_<.

But on the other hand, hey - at least I can say that I've made it to Platinum at least once in my life .

Hmm.. I wonder which Smuft is real.. cause theres a Smuft in my division also.. Division 8 Platinum.

I do recall Smuft saying he had a matchmaking game vs himself.. Smuft vs Smuft lol.. so its confirmed there is a poser out there. Wonder why someone would do that, not only before but after the reset too!

Haha - that's interesting . Well, we'll keep an eye on our Smufts and sooner or later, it'll become apparent which one is real and which one is fake .

    I wonder if anyone's taken 'Davie' .

The ranking system could be much better. Personally, I would have made it so you get a rank in each race, and they take the average of all three races (and random) and that's your "overall" rank. You could even designate which is your "main" race and that race will be counted as a higher percentage of your "overall" rank. It would be much more forgiving to people trying new races or who choose to random.

THe ranking system is for the ladder, each ladder you play in is a differnt ranking (1v1, 2v2 etc.). And on a ladder its not fair for a high level player to be able to switch his race and face worse people, your laddering as a account and competiting for the top spots within your league, you should not have nerfed oppents just because your not as good with another race it defeats the purpose of the ladder if the rank 1 guy got there by playing with his worst race constantly. This gose 2fold for random players who get a giant advantange and for it need to be well versed in all matchups. One of the cooler things about ladders are that your not confined to sticking to one race you can swap at any time, unlike tournaments where usually they ask you what race you are going to be playing.

Lets say I was a plat player, but I had a "bad" zerg ranking - is it fair for me to face someone who with there best race is ranked to where my zerg ranking is? Its not equal, theres more than just your race that separates higher ranking players from lower ranking ones.

If you want to practice another race, theres tons of custom games to play and you can always practice vs friends until you feel comfortable with a race - or you could just play with that newer race anyway and take the losses, its not a big deal really - you can always come back strong next ladder season.

Just restarted (due to the wipe). I tried the Practice League. The other players aren't actually total newbs (I beat worse players in the Bronze (not Copper) League) but after crushing my first two opponents, I'm going to try the rankings again.

The skill level in Bronze (what I used to have) seems to vary too much.
