Hell yeah! My childhood right there. I even took it beyond that and made a set of wearable and useable armour, sword and sheild out of Knex.

Me and my cousin emptied our closets during summer vacation and filled it up with armors, swords and even ballestas or marble guns. We started building single bladed swords that would break on the first contact with something and even at high speeds.

I fighting with a dual bladed sword with a hand protector and a powerful shield and armor.

He builded a helmet and some plating for his legs and armors full of spikes to hit me with and a battle axe.

This equipment was used in our backyard showdown after a month of trial and error. After 2 hours of a nasty fight, both of our creations where shreaded and pieces all over the place, even some that broke before unasambling from our powerful joint system we created.

I only had half of my sword and he only had the head of his axe tied to his shoelace into a mortal weapon (Everything else was reduced to junk) In our last movement he used his weapon to reduce my sword to crap but he lost control and the head of the axe crashed against the wall reducing to pieces. We payed 20 mexican pesos to our little brothers in order to pick everything up. Food after that, Priceless.

Oh, yeah. I'll be playing Pathfinder by Monte Cook soon. Our group decided when 4.0 came out that it was shit. And so we found 3.5 on 'roids. Some examples that I know of so far:

- Rogues get special abilities from level one
- Wizards have a bonded item that allows them to cast any one spell they have one per day
- Sorcerers get bloodlines with feats but you can only pick one bloodline
- Monks can Flurry of Blows everything around them
- Clerics get a heal burst 1/round for 10d8 maximum at 20th level
- There are no level adjustments, this means you can play drow at first level, but you have to clear it with the DM and if the ECL is lower than the CR you cannot play that race

Downsides:
- The maximum stats you could have are all 12s without racial adjustments
- You can't play certain races anymore like dragons or medusa etc
