You can manually split your forces so your entire force doesn't take the full damage from the banelings. Of course if you are also on your ramp using a sentry to block some of the incoming banelings and give time for your shields to recharge is always a good idea.

I've played two games today against this baneling bust strat, both games i managed to scout his building or morphing. And the first thing I did was to warp in Sentries. FF is crusual in this moment u have to pay attantion to your choke every second.
The problem for the zerg is that if the all in push fails, its gg. I don't remember what I did in the first game, but in the second I remember I teched to Voidrays while holding the ramp, and from there on it wass GG ^^

Just had a pretty fun game. Was PvZ, he sent a big rush of Zerglings that took out a lot of probes, ended up ramming several Roaches down my throat. I said "I can tell I've lost" because as far as I was concerned I had, but I kept playing. I ended up using Sentries to block my ramp with Force Field, keeping his Roach (and Hydras now) army from entering my base, while I built Void Rays. With Cannons along my ramp with Force Field I held him off, then flew my Void Rays to his base and took out his Hatchery before his army was able to arrive and kill them. He called GG with that.

So yeah, I expected to lose and with some timely stalling tactics, I won!

So I have a question. I fight a few zerg players here lately that do not spend any money on drones and pump out zerglings. Pretty much 3-4 min in the game i have 4-8 zerglings on my door...I usually barely have one zealot by then...anyone have this problem and know how to counter it? Early scout and earlier gateway? I chrono boost my first zealot even and still just die.

I just move the Zealot to the mineral line. When he engages the Zerglings, i attack-move with my Probes. You will be surprised of the amount of Zerglings that can die while trying to take down that Zealot, when their pathing is completely messed by the amount of Probes everywhere that are attacking the Zerglings. Of course, send the GWs rally-point to the mineral line and continue to make Zealots. Then you can guess how many Probes can be sent to mine again.
After the Zerglings die, move the Zealots to the ramp again, and Chronoboost your Nexus.
Try to not attack with the Probes if there aren't any Zealots, because their tanking is essential. You can run your Probes in circles around your Nexus to buy time. Zerglings cannot catch them easily without speed.

    ah...eh, hello...
i've just recently been able to play my favored toss and i can finally play multiplayer...

so far, i've had a few practise matches and 1 placement round (i won vs a superior terran player, probably only because he either pitied me or my dt's surpriced him...)

my q is: are dt's ever really worth it with their insanely high gas cost that one never seems to have enough of to actually tech early to?

i have won nearly a dozen matches with the dt's but i'm concerned over them being weak in high lvl play...
they seem to never really be that useful vs terran with their scanner sweep and zerg is a bit hard to hold off until you get the gas...

any suggestions what i should switch to?

i usually start with 8 pylon, 11 gateway, 15/16 cyber, 19^ counsil and then straigt dark shrine when i have the gas plus i'll have warp gates ready...
this does however, give me a very weak defense with maybe a handful of zealots and/or cannos and a stalker...
i know i suck..... any suggestions...? sorry for the wall and thanks to SCL..

I'm in low diamond & combine DTs into my army all the time, but no, I never straight up rush for them.

Hi, I'm a new member here, and I'm currently upper level bronze. (10th)

I had a few quick questions. Is it normally ok to be supply blocked if you 9pylon for just a few seconds before your 11th probe starts to build, or is there a way around it? And I really don't like 8 pylon.

P v Z: I read the first ten pages of this thread. It seems there is a lot of difficulty dealing with brood lords...I ran into this as well. Its 20 pages later, any new things that might work? I'm going to go with a mix of Stalkers and Void Rays. Also, is it possible to FF right in front of your line of stalkers and prevent the broodlings from getting to your line?

P v T: Terran air is a problem. Especially when Banshees go for my mineral line. Where exactly should the cannons be placed and how many to ward off banshees.

Also, when facing a banshee and viking mix, go stalkers, sentries and void rays? Guardian Shield and focus fire on the vikings?

And this last one is really simple. Does Feedback on a HT drain the energy of the target and deal an equal amount of damage, or does it just deal the damage?

If anyone has any advice to crack into silver, that would be great!! Thanks

i'd place the cannons behind and right in front of...
i think what's important is to detect cloaked banshees and the stalkers ward them off pretty well...

yes, a feedback drains a unit of all the energy it has and turns those points to damage... i.e 100 energy +feedback= 0energy + -100 hp
