    oki, lets analyze here. u have a very standard opening, which is basically the standard opening of all protoss, that is until we diverge from it of course. personally i think 13-14 gate is a bit late for a gate, i think 12-13 is more right, and 14 for assimilator is more right, that way u can have a core by 16-18, and another gate than if u need (but usually this is where build orders diverge).

    again, its hard to tell u what to do without knowing what you want to do. first step is to get a build order direction of where u want to go in the match, and stick with it. like i see im facing zerg, i think to myself as it loads (maybe i should try to ultimately go collossi, and try to buffer inbetween with fast immortals if i see roaches).

    but do NOT get stuck with a single idea. if when you scout their base, u see a 9 pool or some gimmick....mass and prepare :P or u'll be over run. and be sure to look for hidden proxies if facing terrans and protoss, u can never be too sure.

    so im going a collossi build, and i scout roaches, thats great, plays well into my hands as im already going robo tech, simple switch to immortals is simple. im going collossi and i see him going quick spire and speedlings........collossi love speedlings, but hate mutas :P i'de diverge at that point with all the various options we have at our fingertips.

    so again, main point, have a plan, try to stick with it, plan for contingencies

    Thanks guys, but yeah... I've noticed that when I scout good I'm winning games and when I fail at scouting I'm usually dead even if I stop them from scouting...

    Twillght counsil I usually do it for blink stalkers every games. I think I need to diverge from Blink stalkers a bit more... When I go void rays vs roach/marauder/zealot I win all the time... When I stick to Stalkers to death that's when I get in trouble.

    I need to go robo/stargate earlier instead of just warping to death until i die. Thanks guys

    Some weird games i played yesterday. In one of them, the other player built a lot extra Probes (like 40 total), mining from the same base. It seems silly, but he really had some resource advantage, that he used to build more units early. It's pretty much do-or-die, as it's minerals were getting depleted fast, and still no expansion.

    Another one, is a player that built two Gateways closing his ramp. I thinked he was going for a tech build, but he actually was massing WG, and warped WG units to a proxy Pylon. That took me by surprise, as i couldn't scout the inside of his base after he built the two GWs there.

    Yes, thanks God it can. They can lift all non-massive ground units.

    well i just ran into someone who watched HD's vid of 4gating as toss............damn you HD! lol anywho, as terran and zerg, i know solid strats in pushing it back, but as protoss, im still a wee bit befuddled as to how to push it back without cannons....any help would be appreciated? must i go 4 gate in response?

    If he's going heavy stalkers then immortals are probably your best option. If its a mix then even throwing in some voids will help quite a bit. Other then that if you can manage to get to colossus or 4 gate HT then that would be viable too.

    Camp your ramp with a couple of sentries and tech to colossus. Once you get a colossus or two out (and range) you will easily push him back. If he opted to expand somewhere in here feel free to expand yourself as youre safe until he techs to blink.

    I've found that my solution against a heavy early push is just making a small narrow corner entrance with one or two cannons and positioning stalkers/immortals in a good firing range. Their option is to hit my gateways blocking while being slaughtered by cannons or to back off and come back with a bigger force.

    If i know that a 3-4 gateway push is coming i'll just get some cannons up.

    I like to do something like
    8 pylon
    9(nex crono)
    10 gateway
    13 assem and core
    14 assem number 2 and or gateway
    16zlot
    18sent
    It goes someting like that maybe I get few more zlots out randomly and a stalker at 16 depends on what they have.

    hmm...i have trouble believing that build order as 10 gateway yes is possible...but 13 assemilator and core and ur second assimilator at 14, i really dont think you'de have the minerals by that point to do that
