    This is probably obvious, but I've attached a neat little trick I like to do against Terrans who get only marines for the first few seconds of the game: walk up to their ramp with pure stalkers and 1 or 2 sentries. The Guardian Shield's +2 protection just wrecks Marines, and Stalkers outrange Marines by 1, so you don't have to worry about getting destroyed by the concave as much. One of my Sentries got destroyed, but you can easily just keep one in the back out of reach.

    Seems ok. But I still think Zealots are the best counter for immortal/stalker, and you really only had 2-3 void rays.

    Yeah that's due to my sucky macro skills =p. I shudve had about 5 void rays in that final battle, and a lot more probes as well.. The funny thing is he had a gold expo running before i had my expo, and he usually had 2-3 immortals mixed with his stalkers. With bad macro, i still was able to get more stalkers than him, but i made VR to specifically counter the immortals and i even grouped my VRs separately for that.

    I'm thinking of using this build mainly vs immortal builds and if i improve my macro, i should be able to produce 4-5 VR which is critical mass for them imho. the focus is more on gates and stalkers but VR are really strong as support, i found in this game.

    As a protoss you'll find getting the weapons upgrade is much more useful for a few reasons. First off if you are using a ton of zealots you have to remember they attack twice per second so really your +1 upgrade acts as a +2 upgrade. Secondly just having one or two sentries in your army mix will work wonders when using guardian shield which makes up for your lack of armor upgrades. (to an extent of course)

    Need some PvZ advice. Can't seem to beat the strategy where they just plant a million crawlers next to all their expos and outmacro you. I had more workers than him the entire game, but I think I lost because I was kept on two bases for too long. :/

    think the best bet is either use immortals or mass zealots and try to muscle through

    Nah, he made right tech choice, but was too passive and allowed zerg to tech up/expo too easily. Also, Gradius was behind on upgrades the whole game. His macro was ok, except in midgame where it fell. He had 2 robos but wasnt making colossi fast enough even though he had money and chronoboosts.

    Also, he can double forge when he is halfway through saturating his nat. That will help catchup with upps. If you get a 3rd base fast (usually after pushing out), you can get a 3rd forge and have all three things upgraded pretty fast. A mid-game 2-2-1 Protoss is very scary for zerg, esp when there are Colossi.


    Also, one major thing is that during the first battle with hydra/corruptors, the stalkers shouldve been focussing down the corruptors while the Colossi mopped up the hydralisks. That didnt happen and all the colossi died leaving the stalkers to die that much faster thereafter.

    Gradius is on the right track, just needs more aggressivity producing and scouting, and just making sure that he is keeping up in upgrades. Microing can be a secondary objective.

    I'm at Silver 1, so probably my advice isn't the best of the world, but here we go:
    I think it would be better to have taken the expansion up from your main, that is blocked by rocks, it looks easier to defend than the one with the yellow minerals.
    When you go with Colossi + Stalkers against Corruptors and Hydralisks, i think it's probably better to focus fire the Corruptors with the Stalkers, and attack the Hydralisks with the Colossi.
    I cannot play without an Observer, it's usually the first Robotics unit i make. I put one to patrol all the expansions. Without them, i feel blind.

    You should have definitely expanded sooner. If you had had an obs like Norfindel suggested you would have felt more secure about expanding since you would have seen all the expansions he had. What I personally would have done was take the base above your main and start switching tech toward chargelot/high templar. Stalkers are great to protect your colossi, but they are horrible against Hydras since Hydras kill them so fast. By switching to a zealot sided army the corrupters would be useless since they really only are there for colossi. Then I would start doing storm drops in his mineral lines, completely bypassing all those spine crawlers. You already had the robo bay so you could have also just done drops in the mineral lines as well. I dont remember a rule that says you have to hit them in the front to win, if there is such a thing I am always breaking it. Honestly I say if you would have taken the third base earlier, you would have been fine. Gold expo or otherwise.

    weird...but all the replays posted pre-patch 17 are just downright wonky and wont work :P says needs to open an old version, u say sure, than black screen with mouse but u hear the game sounds....hmmmmmmm, please tell me im not the only one with these problems?

    gonna try grad's latest replay, hope that works :P

    collosus outrange crawlers. his army should be weaker if he made a ton of crawlers so you should have the positional advantage and just patiently let the collosus kill the spines
