Does anybody else get adrenalized while playing SC?

It's been so long since I've played a competitive StarCraft game and I forgot the effect it has on me. Playing 1v1 games against random people gets me so adrenalized. When an intense match is over my heart is usually racing and sometimes my hands are shaking too. Usually I'm pretty calm and cool while gaming, and very few other games have this kind of effect on me. There's just something about attacking somebody on multiple fronts and coordinating a bunch of units using precise, split-second reflexes which can be so thrilling.

Anybody else ever feel this way or am I the only idiot here? What games get your adrenaline pumping? Sometimes I'll get the same feeling in MW2 when pushing for one of the later killstreaks like chopper gunner.

Yes, I do feel that way but oddly livecasting allows me to not worry about it. I pay more attention to the chat than the game itself, which is directly why I have NEVER played at my best while doing so.

That's how I went from 78 silver to 8 silver in a day as well I finally got off the livestream for a day... and felt the adrenaline every moment.

I play a lot of poker for real money, and as anyone knows that's been there, you can't help but feel the adrenaline when pulling off a big bluff or having a huge hand. After awhile however the effect wears off as you become conditioned.

Haven't played SC2 against someone else, but unless it's an intense game I can't see this happening to myself.

I remember when wc3 almost gave me nerveus breakdowns xD But yea, have the same feeling playing games like Sc and Wc3. Competative gaming on CSS is chill compared to the intence rts. ^^

After a long 20-30 match of intense micro and macro, I'm pretty shaken up. I'm not sure if that's adrenaline. When I go and do another things afterwards, I'm always trying to do it as fast as possible.

Hell yes! Sometimes in especially tight games, my hands start shaking like mad, as I'm trying to do more things concurrently, something my lackluster APM can't really keep up with. Also if I win said tight game, I may even proceed to jump out of my seat in victory...

But, yeah, when I've taken a relatively long time off from SC (More than two weeks ) I can get a bit adrenalized in anticipation of a match. Once I'm in though I usually calm down. The only time I stay hyped up is when it's a shit talker that needs an ass whoopin' (that's when I play my best ) or one of those exceedingly intense games.

Also if I win said tight game, I may even proceed to jump out of my seat in victory...

And, this my fellow fans, is the key to enjoyment of life and what it's all about

no, I get really relaxed. I think I have the lowest -apm in the entire silver league. Mentally, I'm super focused and sharp, but I'm superelaxing when I play.

True that. A really good game gets me hyped, but those boneheads tend to fan some dangerous flames, no?
