Why would Zerg then ever use Infesteors and how could other races defend themselves against Mind control?
Also like Phoenixes and Vikings ATA isn´t sufficient on its own because it isn´t supposed to I´d say.

Well you use them so you can bind enemy's in place and deal critical damage to small units,And you can defend vs mind control by killing the caster, or microing your mind control preffered units(immortals,collosi,thors,tanks,etc..) away from the infestors while focusing them down...
